dc.descriptionThe topic is diseases that affect lambs grown in feed lot situations. Western lambs are not native to this region of the U.S. It's heredity and environment is than than native lambs. It's diet is different as well. the eating of hay may be a completely new experience for the lamb. The new surrounding are alien to it. The lamb is exposed to disease causing agents via it's being transported to a new location. And, at the new location itself, which exposes the lamb, also. The entire process of acculturating the lamb to it's new context is outlined in this article.
