Articleen_US
The authors discuss efforts made to increase the horsepower of tractors in 1968. A tractor suited for 1964 farming demands might not be in 1968. One could trade one's current tractor out or try to modify it to increase it's power. Field methods used to increase the horsepower of diesel tractors include overspeeding, oversizing, overfueling, LP (Liquified Petroleum) gas injection and turbocharging. This article discusses tests conducted to compare LP gas injection, turbocharging, and overfueling. LP Gas Injection.
