Weight Has an Affect on Market Price of Hogsen_US
Articleen_US
This paper addresses the marketing of slaughter hogs. The weight at which they are sold is of utmost importance. The change in price received from one weight group to another varies from one month to' another, depending on the number of butcher hogs available and on the existing price level. No single weight group receives the highest price throughout the year. The weight at which hogs are marketed is an important factor in the return over feed and production costs.
