In order to enhance the digital content and descriptive metadata of an institutional repository, library staff must foster partnerships with researchers and university departments responsible for generating digital content. Over the past two years, NDSU Libraries staff members have revitalized institutional repository efforts by engaging in new partnerships and providing support for research sharing. Their collaboration with the Graduate School has increased access to student theses and dissertations, including supplemental Ph.D. Videos that allow students to describe their research for a general audience. Repository support staff have also worked with university faculty to feature their work on an open access platform, including preprint publication documents, conference proceedings, and research indexes. These efforts have been supported by systems administration of the NDSU Repository as well as an increased focus on metadata enhancement.
