Abstract
Visuals promoting stair use encouraged NDSU students to use the stairs instead of the elevator in different academic buildings on campus. Within the academic buildings, we recorded how many people took the stairs or the elevator within four observation days in the span of two weeks. The first week we recorded our control. The second week, we provided a poster. It was concluded that there was a significant difference in stair usage between the four observation days. A survey was also conducted. The results concluded that 85% of NDSU students who participated in the survey prefer to take the stairs.
