This assessment of the Corps of Engineers proposal is required by the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA), the Council on Environmental Quality Regulations (40 CFR 1500-1508), and the Corps of Engineers Procedures for Implementing NEPA (33 CFR Part 230).en_US
