ND247 and ND248 are yellow dent corn (Zea mays L.) inbred lines developed within the corn improvement project at the Agricultural Experiment Station, North Dakota State University. ND247 is an early AES200 maturity inbred, released as a source of early maturity in corn breeding programs and for producing early hybrids with good grain yields, high test weights, good stalk lodging resistance, and low ear moisture at harvest. ND248 also is an AES200 maturity inbred which has demonstrated high yield potential in several hybrid combinations. Hybrids from ND248 had acceptable lodging resistance, good test weights, and low ear moisture at harvest.en
