The article gives a brief outline of an ear tag demonstration of steers. The tags were provided by Burroughs Wellcome Company to NDSU. These were applied to cattle on the farm of Albert Schumacher and Sons farm in Logan County North Dakota. How the tags were applied is given. The advantage of this application process was that it could be applied before the stock is turned out into summer pastures allowing for summer protection from horn flies.
