Crop dryers are increasingly being purchased by operators of large farms to dry sunflowers and small grains. Dryer owners dried 36 per cent of their durum and 58 per cent of their sunflowers in a typical year. Purchases were made largely as a means of reducing the risk of crop losses from adverse weather.en
