The importance of leafy spurge control on long-term land values is difficult to assess, but short-term returns can be estimated by measuring changes in forage production and grazing capacity following leafy spurge control. The purpose of the five year study discussed in this article was to evaluate several herbicides for leafy spurge control, influence on forage production, and cost effectiveness.
