Wheat streak mosaic continues to be a significant problem in areas where winter wheat are grown. In this article, the results of 16 hard red wheat streak cultivars were evaluated under field conditions for their responses to early infection with WSMV. This study emphasized newer cultivars, while more commonly grown cultivars have been tested previously. The materials and methods are presented next for discussion. The results and discussion of such study ensues. The results yielded this that it appeared that Butte, Butte 86, Cutless and Challenger perform best where WSMV is found.
