dc.description | The author informs the reader on the history of recombinant DNAs. In the beginning, there was a fear that some of these could present public health threats. Thus, it was deemed that it needed to be regulated. Gradually, the responsibility of monitoring and controlling these shifted to institutions. It is the goal of of the Institutional Biosafety Committee to assure that field testing involving these be absolutely safe and environmentally sound to guard against any unforeseen, negative recombinant DNA incidents. | |
