dc.description | This is a discussion of the improvement of corn by improved synthetic sources produce early corn crops. Native corn plants were unsuitable for high planting densities, high fertilizer rates, mechanical cultivation and the grain grading requirements of modern agriculture. The research with 'synthetic' varieties of corn which was open pollinated and created by combining several corn strains to produce desired characteristics is discussed. NDSB(MS)C8 and NDSG(MS)C8 are improved versions of the yellow dent. | |
