dc.description | Wheat seed that is infected with fungus and/or scab has reduced germination, increased seed blight and reduced crop yields. A study of both registered and non-registered contact and systematic fungicides was performed. The study was conducted to determine if these treatments improved the stand and vigor of these seed lots. The conclusion was that the treatment of seeds with fungicides did improve both the stands and vigor of spring wheat and durum seed lots containing high amounts of scabby and black-pointed seed. | |
