Johann Graf, Sr. (born 1845 in Neudorf, Glueckstal District) married (November 1865 in Neudorf) Christina Mittleider (born 1845 in Neudorf) emigrated in April 1885 to Tripp, Dakota Territory before homesteading in 1889 south of Streeter, North Dakota. Their five youngest children are depicted in this family portrait (Back row, L to R): August Graf (born 1883 in Saratov, near Bergdorf) married Christina Dorr (born in Kassel) and homesteaded in Saskatchewan/Alberta in 1914; George Johann Graf (twin, born 1886, Tripp, Dakota Territory); Margaretha Graf (twin, born 1886, Tripp, Dakota Territory) married in 1903 George J. Wentz (born 1880s, Neudorf); Christina Graf (born 1881, Neudorf) married in 1899 in Richville, North Dakota to Ludwig Buck, Jr. (born 1878 in Columbus, Nebraska).
