dc.description	The paper deals with the findings of an annual mailed survey amongst North Dakota and Minnesota farmers in 1988. The methodology of the mailed survey is covered. Areas addressed: varieties of beans chosen, irrigated acreage, seed sources, soil type, land preparation methods chosen, weather and production problems, disease problems and fungicide usage, wed problems and herbicide use and, finally, insect problems and insecticide use.
