dc.description | In 1984, the cash lease option continued to be the most opted for method of land lease in North Dakota. This same year, a recent survey drew 125 reports on rental arrangements and lease rates throughout the state. The data for this survey was tabulated and coded for averages or percentages and ranges in estimates for the 8 farming areas of the state. Each section of the state is broken down into most preferred method of land lease in this article. The average cash rents per acre were calculated for wheat or barley lands, hay lands and for pasture lands. Each crop most opted for in each section of the state in given in this paper. Those figures culled from this 1984 land rental marketplace were similar to those of the 4 preceding years. The lease payment gives the tenant access to and use thereof of much land for a relatively low cost. | |
