The relationship pf ground cover of short and midgrass communities to soil loss is the topic of this paper. To determine why soil loss was similar from the two different structured communities, a comparison of ground cover components of live, Utter, total and bare soil was made between the native control area (short and midgrass . structure) and the ungrazed reclaimed exclosures and reclaimed grazed pastures (midgrass structure).
