The primary focus of this thesis is to demonstrate how the Great Northern Rail Corridor, located in Fargo, North Dakota, can be repurposed into a greenway that connects North Dakota State University and its students with Downtown Fargo. This site proposal accommodates bicyclists and pedestrians by providing users with a pragmatic and scenic greenway. The proposal’s result, according to its author, is a design that provides not only a safe passage between the main and downtown campuses, but a community recreational facility, offering cycling, walking, cross-country skiing, running, ice skating and picnicking.en_US
