Abstract
Description
The winter of 1989/90 experienced high winds which created substantial topsoil loss. Windbreaks might aid in reducing top soil loss in these times. A study is reviewed in this paper regarding attempts to discover if windbreaks placed at varying distances, enhanced corn and potato yields. Thinning, fertilizer application and root pruning were applied in this study.
