Bees play an important part in our community. They pollinate over one third of all of our food. Many people do not realize the importance of bees and pollinators and their existence. How can we educate and protect such an important part of our everyday lives? The redesign of the Los Angeles River front project promotes bringing the bees, pollinators and the public together to create a Pollinator Paradise. This type of project could benefit the society over all. The redesigned river front will educate the public on the importance of bees while attracting and becoming the home to the pollinators. Studying ways of educating the public on the bees and pollinators that will live on the site, will help me replicate the ideas to my project. I am going to study the different types of bee species and the pollinator plants in the Los Angeles area. I am also going to study in depth the way bee hives operate and the different types of bees that are in a hive. Another aspect of the study of the bees is how the micro-climate of the site can attract the bees and create a successful pollinator paradise.en_US
