dc.descriptionThe discussion was the widespread appearance in 1950 of the relatively new race of stem rust of wheat, 15B, which developed difficult problems. This was still a new, unknown wheat threat. Several studies addressing wheat stem rust are outlined here. It was hoped that some of the selections would produce definite resistance to this disease, though total eradication was deemed not feasible.
