Abstract

Description

The article discusses ND249, ND250, and ND251 which were new yellow dent inbred lines developed in the corn improvement project. The effective use of these inbreds and these synthetics required knowledge of their ancestry and breeding behavior. While many of the experimental hybrids tested were not suitable for economic commercial production, their breeding behavior may suggest ways to best utilize these genetic materials in a breeding program.
