Abstract

Description

The topic was progress made on corn production at Fargo, Dickinson, Minot and Williston North Dakota in 1969. The effect of row spacing, plant population and fertilizer on the yield of corn grain and silage in experiments on both summer fallow and non-fallow land were investigated at Dickinson, Minot, Williston and Fargo over a 3-year period. The results suggested that a shortage of available soil moisture was often the principal factor limiting corn production under dry land conditions.
