dc.descriptionThe topic was the need for crop variation in North Dakota. Farmers were focusing on a smaller array of crops which resulted in increased yields, streamlined field operations and greatly reduced labor requirements to produce these limited crops. This resulted in increased soil erosion, risk of diseases, increased pest problems and increased the need of government subsidies. A variety of professionals in different fields were assembled to offer solutions.
