Abstract
Description
This is a discussion of Pigweed, a major agricultural weed, throughout North Dakota in fence rows, farm yards and empty livestock lots especially in warm months. Perirenal edema occurs when too much of redroot pigweed this weed is consumed by pigs. A description of the plant, it's chemistry and effects of poisioning from this weed in pigs is given. Kidney and heart failure along with death are potential. Characteristics of this poisoning is outlined in this article. At the time of this writing, there was no known cure for this poisoning.
