Grass or grain? : intermediate wheatgrass in a perennial cropping system for the northern Plains

Abstract

This report is an introduction to a joint project of North Dakota State University and the Rodale Research Center on using intermediate wheatgrass as a perennial grain in the Northern Plains. The objectives are to explore the potential of a new cropping system that costs less, both in economic and environmental terms.
