dc.descriptionThis is a half page history of a parcel of land given by Willem Kiest, director general of New Netherlands, in 1639, to a pair of English tobacco growers by the name of Holmes and Hall as a reward for their leadership in campaigns against Native Americans, which was later known as 'Turtle Bay Farm'. This article first appeared in 'Steelways Magazine'.
