In 1975, potatoes were one of the crops considered to have potential for large scale production once irrigation was available in the Oakes area of North Dakota. This study was undertaken to evaluate the production potential, quality and harvest period for varieties grown in that area. The trials were conducted on a Maddock sandy loam. The yields were appreciably affected by the variety grown and the plant spacing used.
