The author discusses all of the changes occurring in agricultural economics. The impact of technology on agriculture is cited. The synergy of all changes in agriculture whether it be research, the physical means of food production or processing, finance, the agricultural international marketplace, etc all have implications on agricultural economics. These reshape industry cost structures, competitive environments and institutional relationships. This helps determine the division of labor in agriculture, employment specialization and the proper farm size. Areas addressed in this article on these topics are: farm management, farm finance, farm policy and international trade, marketing and agribusiness, Community-Resource Development and Rural Sociology.
