This article addresses a 6 year study conducted at the Microclimate Research Station (MRS) of the North Dakota State University Agricultural Station at Fargo, ND in 1981, 82, 85, 86, 87 and 88 to determine the relationship between water usage and the crop spring wheat. The use of these lysimeters along with hand harvesting provided an accurate measurement of evaportranspiration (ET) and grain yield.
