Research that evaluated interrill runoff, soil and nutrient loss is discussed in this article. Eroded material (sediment) was analyzed for particle size, organic matter (OM) and available N and P content. Slope steepness, surface mulch rate and antecedent soil moisture conditions were varied for two western North Dakota mined land topsoils.
