Description
The article is regarding the wheat stem sawfly (Cephus cinctus Nort.), a native of the Great Plains. It has only one generation a year, and spends
three of its life stages—egg, larva, and pupa—in the stems of
grasses and wheat. This article focuses upon predators of this pest. Native parasites, introduced parasites, parasite releases into the environment; and parasite recover and establishment are all addressed.
