Description
This paper discusses beautification efforts of the state of North Dakota by the Army Corps of Engineers and others in the Northern Great Plains. Several of the problems in effecting such improvements is addressed. Millions of dollars are spent annually in North Dakota for ornamental plants.
Interest in ornamentals and a recognition of the importance of such plants in our environment has increased markedly, nationally as well as in the northern plains area.
