Abstract

The future of office work is in a rush for a quick yet long lasting solution. Offices need a space that will allow people to access work safely without worrying about the spread of any germs and allowing themselves to be socially distant. The world is looking at its work environment from a different standpoint. A lot of people will be working from a remote standpoint yet office buildings can still have an important role even if it has less users. Technology is going to accelerate in the business world through the fundamental shift of the effects of the COVID pandemic. A near touchless experience will positively impact the experience and health of its users. Consider a bottom-up approach of design that incorporates elements friendly to the work environment. The overarching premise of this project emphasizes that architecture can positively impact the physical well-being of people and allow for a cleaner environment for its users. Precedent case studies and combined strategies guide design elements that correlate with the COVID-19 pandemic to be implemented into the built environment of the office building.
