dc.descriptionThis was a review of a article on the condition of the Great Plains shelterbelts that appeared in the April 1946 issue of Journal of Forestry. The ratings on North Dakota shelterbelts was reviewed concerning overall condition, on rainfall and soil condition, the percentage distribution of trees in each of the five "survival classes" and the percentage in a combination of classes 1 & 2, the Siberian Elm, the Bowelder, the conifers, shrubs and causes of damage.
