What is Cyberinfrastructure?: The Nature of Research Today

Abstract

The nature of research has change from individuals working in their lab to discipline groups from multiple institutions working together on large project. Cyberinfrastructure (CI) is the technology that allows these distributed groups to work together as a team. This presentation talks about the use of CI and some of the technology that is “under the hood”.
