Abstract

Description

By 1984, the number of elderly citizens in North Dakota has increased at a faster rate than the state's total population. Issues related to the care of the elderly population are critical for North Dakota farm families due to several factors unique to growing old in rural areas. These issues are explored in this article and the attitudes of 700 randomly selected North Dakota farm men and women toward care of their elderly parents are presented.
