The article reviews a survey conducted in 1988 involving 223 fields in 35 counties in North Dakota which were examined for wheat diseases. The data for each collected included date, county, legal description, wheat class, growth stage, diseases observed, disease incidence, disease diversity, highest leaf affected, rust reactions and, when possible, the variety, previous crop and the tillage method used. The growing season sampled was unusually hot and dry for spore releases and subsequent infections. The results are discussed.
