Describing a "new vision for NDSUʼs future," President Joseph A. Chapman outlined a series of bold campus objectives during his State of the University Address. The address pointed to NDSUʼs "many successes," such as the university exceeding 12,000 students and surpassing $100 million in research expenditures this fiscal year. In his speech, Chapman noted that a new study led by Larry Leistritz, professor of agribusiness and applied economics, shows that for every additional dollar of state support NDSU received during the last five years, the university has raised roughly $7.50 from other sources.
