Abstract
Description
The two authors project the next ten to twenty years based upon the then current trends and forces in motion or in a state of initiation that would potentially have major impacts on how soil is used and is managed. The future in agriculture would emphasize efficiency and elimination of yield constraints. Profit would be increased by the aggressive use of fertilizers and pesticides. However, each would need to be justified by actual demonstrated field measurements.
