Abstract
Architecture acts as a tool in creating a healthy environment, a
settlement for nourishing culture, whether through the natural or
built environment. This thesis is aimed toward an exploration of urban water through architecture. By studying the relationship and the connection that Thai people have with the water within
Bangkok, Thailand, the result is a framework of the past that can help identify the community's future. The typography of this thesis is an urban water educational center. The center deals extensively with creating healthy environment, educating the people, especially the waterfront community, and exploring new opportunities through social, economic and political factors while maintaining its cultural meaning.
