Eleven new publications have been added to the North Dakota Biography Index; bringing the total number of entries in the database to 243,868.
The newly indexed publications include volumes 2, 3 and 4 of Did you Know That...? by Kurt Eriksmoen, based upon his newspaper column articles about "interesting people who have lived in North Dakota"; and the 1998, 1999 and 2000 annual issues Notable North Dakotans a special insert of the Bismarck Tribune. Books indexed include Monkhouse: The Chronicle of Assumption Abbey, 1977-1995; Montpelier Lutheran Church, 100th Anniversary, 1905-2005; Devils Lake Celebrate 2008, 125 Years, and two North Dakota community histories: Kief, North Dakota, 100 Years of History, compiled and edited by Todd Spichke & published in 2008; and Freda Memories, published in 1983.
These publications and almost all in the database are available at the Institute for Regional Studies. The Institute also provides a copy service for the biographies found in this database. Contact information is provided on the database site.
