NDSU Captured on Glass


The NDSU University Archives presents views of campus life at the North Dakota Agricultural College dating from the 1890s into the early 1930s as captured on glass negatives (5x7).  This sampling of images presents men’s and women’s sports: baseball, basketball, boxing, field hockey, football, gymnastics, soccer and track and field; campus events such as  homecoming parades and floats, dances and commencement; campus buildings, classroom and laboratories; as well as views of student life, the Cadet Corp and aerials. 

The entire collection consist of approximately 25,000 images with the major focus of the activities of the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station, from the early 1920s – the early 1930s.
