Do you have overdue books, DVDs, or other library materials? NDSU Libraries wants to give you a chance to return them without fear of fines, so we’ve gotten rid of hourly and daily fines. However, if you haven't returned the item by its grace period (which varies from item type), you will then receive a replacement fee. We will keep you informed by sending reminder notices that an item is due, as well as overdue notices if it is not returned. We ask that you please note these dates so we don’t need to give you any fines at all! As with all things in life, exceptions do apply. For more information, please click here.
Preexisting Fines: If you have preexisting fines from items you’ve already returned late, ask a staff member how to waive these fines at one of our circulation desks located at the Main Library, Klai Juba Wald Architectural Studies Library, and the Business Learning Center. Materials that you’ve lost or damaged and replacement fines that have already been billed to your One Stop account do not qualify. However, if any of those situations apply to you, talk to library staff and we’ll work together to get it straightened out!
