dc.description This paper considers the economics of removing the pesticide 'Parathion from usage in North Dakota at time of this writing. NO reason as to why removal of such chemical appears to be cited. There are 2 types of sunflowers grown in North Dakota: one for confectionery uses ant the other for sun flower oil. A four part analysis was conducted. The conclusion was made that it would cost both growers and consumers of North Dakota sunflowers would foot the cost of the loose of parathion as a pest treatment.
