dc.description This article reviews data on the effects of spaying, aborting and of implants on the performance of beef heifers. It was stated that the implantation of spayed heifers with either Ralgro or Synovex-H would restore the rate of gain lost during spaying. Abortion with Lutalyse within the first 100 days of gestation was effective. Abortion after 150 days of pregnancy was not always effective.
