Description: The practice of turning grass-fat cattle, usually dry cows or yearlings, into a field of mature corn has been carried on in western North Dakota for a number of years. Some advantages in pasturing corn are given. How to determine the best age of cattle for pasturing on corn fields is discussed. Th gains in weight of cattle are reviewed.
