dc.description This article addresses a problem using then current calculations regarding comparison of crop prices. Using traditional cost and return relationships between competing crops destroyed it has become difficult to visualize their relative profitability. Information in this report introduces a method to overcome this difficulty. The approach is to prepare crop budgets (costs and yields) and then look at the impact of alternative crop prices on net income. Projected costs and yields for the 1975 growing season for eight North Dakota regions are used to illustrate this approach.
