Extension Service publications from U.S. Land Grant universities. A publically available searchable database with links to full text. Covers a broad spectrum of agricultural topics.

Ebook Central provides authoritative, full-text e-books in a wide range of subject areas along with powerful tools to find, use, and manage the information.

eBook Collection (EBSCO)

ECO - Electronic Collections Online (OCLC)

An OCLC collection of scholarly journals. Includes all of the original content and images of articles and bibliographic information for all journals. Lets you view abstracts and full-text articles from journals to which NDSU subscribes.

Ecology Abstracts (ProQuest)

A database that focuses on how organisms of all kinds interact with their environments and with other organisms. Included are relevant papers on evolutionary biology, economics and systems analysis as they relate to ecosystems or the environment.

EconLit (ProQuest)

Provides bibliographic coverage of a wide range of economics-related literature. Covers both economic theory and application.

Education Index Retrospective (H.W. Wilson/EBSCO)

This database provides a vast record of important education literature pertaining to societal trends, such as segregation, multiculturalism, feminism, economic developments and more.

Education Source (EBSCO)

Most complete collection of full-text education journals including an international array of English-language periodicals, monographs, yearbooks, and more. Covers education from early childhood to higher education.

Education Week

A rich resource for K-12 education. Includes news, data sets, white papers, original research, videos, and more.

Educator's Reference Complete (Gale Cengage)

This database contains a selection of academic journals, hundreds of full-text reports, and reference sources. Content focuses on educational principles, child development and psychology, and best practices in education.

eHRAF World Cultures

This database contains ethnographic collections covering all aspects of cultural and social life.

Electronics & Communications Abstracts - 1981-current (ProQuest)

This database is a comprehensive index to world literature on circuits, components and materials, photonics, control and systems, telecommunications, equipment and instrumentation, power systems and electrical engineering.

Encyclopedia Britannica Academic Edition (Encyclopaedia Britannica)

Contains over 73,000 articles and a multimedia database with thousands of photographs, illustrations, sound files, and hundreds of video clips and more.

Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion (Berg Fashion Library)

Searchable online encyclopedia that explores all aspects of dress and fashion globally, from pre-history to the present day; includes information on the dressed and adorned body across cultures and throughout history.

Web-based bibliographic service for students and researchers that organizes personal reference collections and saves time retyping references for course work and publication. Requires a log-in; available for all NDSU faculty, students and staff.

This database is a comprehensive index to world literature on engineered materials such as polymers, plastics, rubber, ceramics and composites. The database addresses manufacturing practices, properties and applications of these materials.

Engineering Research Database - 1966-current (ProQuest)

Bibliographic coverage of the international serial and non-serial literature for research in civil, earthquake, environmental, mechanical, transportation engineering, forensic engineering, engineering services, education, theoretical mechanics and dynamics, mathematics/computation, design, construction, and latest technological developments.

Engineering Village (Elsevier)

A comprehensive engineering bibliographic database. Many subject areas of engineering are covered as well as multiple subtopics within all these and other major engineering fields.

Entomology Abstracts (ProQuest)

Contains all recent research reports of direct relevance to entomology including insects, arachnids, myriapods, onychophorans and terrestrial isopods.

Environmental Engineering Abstracts 1990-current (ProQuest)

This database is a comprehensive index to world literature on all technological and engineering aspects of air, water and soil quality, environmental safety, sustainability and energy production.

ERIC: Education Resource Information Center (EBSCO)

An online library of education research and information which contains more than 1.3 million records and links to more than 323,000 full-text documents dating back to 1966.

ERIC: Education Resource Information Center (ProQuest)

This database is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education to provide extensive access to education-related literature. ERIC provides coverage of journal articles, conferences, meetings, government documents, theses, dissertations, reports, audiovisual media, bibliographies, directories, books and monographs.

Fargo Forum Newspaper Index, 1879-1995 (NDSU)

The Fargo Forum Newspaper Index database provides citations (currently about 8,000 entries) to selected articles published in a number of Fargo newspapers between 1879 and 1975, primarily the Fargo Forum, regarding events in North Dakota and to a limited extent in other states. The database is the work of the NDSU Institute for Regional Studies and indexing continues although on a very limited basis.

Fargo Forum Obituary Index (NDSU)

The indexing of Fargo Forum newspaper obituaries is an ongoing project of the NDSU Institute for Regional Studies. The time period completed includes from October 1892 to 1909 and from November 1982 to 1995. In addition partial indexing has been done for other years. The database currently contains over 70,000 names.

Fashion Snoops

Fashion Snoops is a comprehensive trend forecasting portal focused primarily on apparel and interior design work. The FS White Space includes a database of trend information, including color design, textiles, accessories, and more. In addition to information regarding design trends, the service also provides a creative space for designers to collect trend ideas from the database and external sources, allowing them to develop a collage to inspire their own ideas.

FDsys: Federal Digital System (GPO)

GPO’s Federal Digital System (FDsys) provides free online access to official publications from all three branches of the Federal Government.

FedStats (Federal Government)

FedStats provides access to the full range of official statistical information produced by the Federal Government without having to know in advance which Federal agency produces which particular statistic. With convenient searching and linking capabilities to more than 100 agencies that provide data and trend information.

Food Science Source (EBSCO)

Search this comprehensive database covering Food Sciences topics such as nutrition, agribusiness, food safety and food processing.

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia (EBSCO)

This encyclopedia database indexes over 25,000 records, covering an array of topics. The database contains images and brief biographies as well as information in a variety of subject areas.

GenderWatch (ProQuest)

Repository of historical perspectives on the evolution of the women's movement, men's studies, transgendered community and changes in gender roles over time. Includes journals, magazines, newspapers, regional publications,and NGO, and government reports.

General Science Collection (Gale Cengage)

A collection of over 200 journals -- including such topics as particle physics, advanced mathematics, and nanotechnology.

GeoRef and GeoRef in Process (ProQuest)

Produced by the American Geological Institute, GeoRef is a comprehensive geosciences database. Over 3,500 journals are reviewed for indexing in the GeoRef database as well as books, maps, government reports, conference papers, and theses and dissertations. GeoRef In Process does NOT contain the most current records and should not be confused with a database of Recent References.

GeoScienceWorld

GeoScienceWorld (GSW) is a nonprofit collaborative and comprehensive Internet resource for research and communications in the earth sciences, which is built on a core database of peer-reviewed journals and is integrated with the GeoRef abstract and index service. The organization gives global researchers a single point of access to 44 full-text scholarly journals plus specialized searching capabilities and links to millions of relevant resources hosted elsewhere on the Web.

Global Newsstream (ProQuest)

Formerly ProQuest Newsstand. A full-text newspaper database that includes access to national and leading regional papers such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Barron's, Boston Globe, Guardian, Christian Science Monitor, and Washington Post.

Global Rangelands

Provides links to more than 12,000 journal articles, websites, images, databases, videos, maps, reports, and decision making/educational tools about rangelands and rangeland management. 

Google Scholar (Google)

GPO Monthly Catalog (GPO)

Index to all types of U.S. government documents, including Congressional reports, hearings, debates, and records, judiciary materials, and documents issued by federal departments 1976-present. Produced by the U.S. Government Printing Office.

GreenFILE (EBSCO)

Multidisciplinary database about the intersection between the environment and disciplines such as agriculture, education, law, health and technology. Topics covered include global climate change, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more.

Grove Music Online (Oxford)

Encyclopedia articles from The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians and others, including The New Grove Dictionary of Opera and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz. Includes sound examples. This resource is limited to 3 simultaneous users.
